McCall MacBain Scholarship 2026, launched in 2019 following a historic $200 million endowment from John and Marcy McCall MacBain, provides outstanding students and recent graduates the opportunity to pursue fully funded master’s or second-entry professional degrees at McGill University in Montréal. It fosters leadership, community engagement, and academic excellence.

Eligible Programs & Locations

  • Master’s & Professional Degrees: Over 150 programs (e.g., MA, MBA, MPP, MSc, BCL/JD, DMD, MDCM) at McGill’s downtown and Macdonald campuses 

  • Not Covered: Executive/part-time/PhD programs and qualifying year only

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Bachelor’s degree by August 2026, or earned within the last five years, or under age 30 if older 

  • Admission or in-progress application to an eligible McGill program

  • Full-time enrollment required if selected No citizenship restriction; global eligibility

  • University endorsement required for current students/recent grads (2023–2025) 

  • Applicants may apply up to two times; restrictions apply for previous finalist or awardees 

Scholarship Coverage

  • Full tuition and fees for duration of program

  • Living stipend of CAD  $2,300/month during academic terms; summer funding up to CAD  $5,000 

  • One-time relocation grant to Montréal

  • Leadership development curriculum, coaching, mentorship, workshops, and network access

Finalist & Regional Awards (if not selected as scholar):

  • Finalist Award: CAD  $10,000 (Canadian) / CAD  $20,000 (International) for use at McGill

  • Regional Award: CAD  $5,000 (Canadian) / CAD  $10,000 (International) usable at any Canadian public

      • Online application with:

        • Resume

        • Transcripts (unofficial)

        • Two references: one academic, one community 

        • Short essays (225–300 words)

        • Up to five McGill program selections and career aspirations 

      • It is not necessary to submit standardized test scores as part of the McCall MacBain Scholarship application. If you already have a strong test score, you may include it to help demonstrate your academic qualifications.

        You may need to submit your score to McGill University at a later date as part of your program application. Ensure you know your intended program’s admission requirements, and contact the relevant McGill program for specific questions.
